This company is a great charity. You buy a pair of shoes, you're actually buying two. One for yourself and one for a child in Africa or Argentina that is without. But this isn't just your common "you give, you get" charity. They know the value of materials. They know about sustainability. And most of all, they know the value of karma.

One For One Movement - A Pair Of New Shoes Is Given To A Child In Need With Every Pair Purchased - TOMS.com (Tom's story).
"In 2006 an American traveler, Blake Mycoskie, befriended children in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One. Blake returned to Argentina with a group of family, friends and staff later that year with 10,000 pairs of shoes made possible by caring TOMS customers.
Since our beginning in May 2006, TOMS has given over 400,000* pairs of shoes to children in need, through the purchases of caring customers.

Ethical Production:
"We require that the factories operate under sound labor conditions, pay fair wages and follow local labor standards. A code of conduct is signed by all factories. Our production staff routinely visits these factories to make sure they are maintaining these working standards. We also have third parties audit the factories at least once a year to ensure they adhere to proper labor regulations."

I FREAKIN LOVE THIS COMPANY! and I plan to buy more of their shoes. I love their charity, but I also love their shoes. Recycled and comfortable.
